The Bible tells us to "Pray about everything, worry about nothing." (Philippians 4:6) "Always pray and never give up." (Luke 18:1) "Rejoice in hope, be patient in affliction, and be constant in prayer." (Romans 12:12) "Pray without ceasing." (1 Thessalonians 5:17) The Bible clearly tells us to pray.
